How It Works...

The Future Wave Energy Saver is what's called a "soft start, variable frequency drive". It reduces the amount of current the motor uses when starting (inrush or peak current). It then runs your pump at full power for about 20 seconds. This is to prime the pump and get the water flowing through the system. Once the flow is at normal, the Future Wave reduces the speed of the motor to a far more economical rate. This speed can be varied according to your pool size.
