Bio Klenz
BIO-KLENZ by LoChlor is an environmentally friendly liquid that you simply add to a pool ONCE EACH MONTH. It combats Bio-Film and helps maintain perfect clarity while using less chlorine and other chemicals.
Bio-films are a collection of bacteria that you can’t see but can sometimes feel. They can grow on the pool surface, in the filter, on the skimmer basket or in filtration lines. Bio-film places a big demand on the chosen sanitiser as it will be constantly trying to “eat it away”. It can take a disinfection concentration up to 100 times higher than normal to kill off bio-film. It can also harbour disease causing bacteria.
The Centre for Disease Control in the USA estimates that 65% of human infections in an aquatic environment are the result of bio-films! In addition they cause cloudy water, scale build up on equipment and heaters and even corrosion as some bio-films can have a pH as low as 1. An average backyard pool can have between 40-65 square metres of plumbing for them to hide in. Obviously Commercial pools have much, much more.
Removing bio-film reduces the demand on the sanitiser, keeps the water crystal clear and more importantly healthy. It also eliminates scum lines on the pool surface. Once a scum line has formed on the pool, bacteria and algae are naturally attracted to it and another bacterial colony will be formed. Every pool should be treated for bio-films but for Commercial and Semi-Commercial pools, it is a necessity. Not only for the health benefits for the swimmer but for the economic benefits for the operator!

BIO-KLENZ was developed with the idea of finding a product that would reduce the need for chemicals in pool water, especially chlorine, without sacrificing water clarity and protection from water borne organisms.
Initially, BIO-KLENZ will clean surfaces of particulates that build on the pool liner, aggregate, or tile surface. It actually “lifts” off the build-up and complexes it with the water itself.

BIO-KLENZ also has a built-in clarifier that helps the filter grab all the junk that was removed by the cleaner’s di-methyl compounds and put into solution. The filter will respond by gaining efficiencies in removal and filtration of particulates at
lower micron levels. Water will get clearer plus the need for vast amounts of chlorine, or other sanitiser, is decreased since the BIO-KLENZ lifts the built-up particulates that the chlorine usually uses itself up on trying to “eat away” at.
