How old is the sand in your filter? Did you know that you are supposed to change it every 7 to 10 years, depending on how well you look after your pool.
We use high quality silica sand. Have you heard of Glass Media? It is graded to a particular size similar to sand but is a lot harder making it more durable. It also filter finer, down to 5 microns. Sand filters down to 15 microns.
We use only quality virgin glass, not recycled. Not because we’re not into saving the environment, it’s because recycled glass is simply no where near as good, there for defeating the purpose of upgrading from Sand to Glass.
