Pool Salt
Pool Salt ultra fine fast dissolving premium quality available at Proswim.
Dry, refined sea salt (sodium chloride) specifically made for use in swimming pools. Produced in Australia by solar evaporation, harvested and refined in accordance with good manufacturing practice, under HACCP and SQF Code systems, verified by BSI. It complies with Standards 2.10.2 (salt and salt products) of the Food Standards Code Australia New Zealand-Volume 2.
Why was there a shortage of pool salt??
There are only 3 major producers of Salt in Australia. As expected, Covid 19 affected staff levels for production as well as transportation over the last couple of years. Then, when the floods hit South East Queensland and northern New South Wales in February, all of a sudden, every pool in those regions needed salt! Demand went through the roof and the producers could not meet the demand. We have managed to source Salt and Minerals from other suppliers, including from overseas. Our aim is to keep our clients supplied as much as we possibly can.
We have replaced Acquatherepe with Revive, which is a better blend of Minerals. We have also replaced MagnaPool with Pure Mineral, which is 100% Magnesium compared to 30% and is the same price. Some Mineral Pools use Theralux, Dead Sea Salt or Himalayan salt. These will still work using the Revive, which is much cheaper.
